Launch students at Careers Expo
WA's only complete careers, training and employment expo returns in late April 2021 with even more inspiration on careers, tertiary education and vocational training.
Alongside the usual huge array of local and interstate tertiary colleges, universities, training organisations and industry associations you’ll find the WorldSkills National Championships* showcasing the skills of apprentices, trainees and students drawn from 50 different career categories.
Careers Expo and WorldSkills Australia will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre - and entry is free.
This is the motivation your students need. Over four big days*, 100 exhibitors representing universities, TAFEs, government departments, training providers and employers – present a diverse range of career and employment pathways.
Two days have been set aside specifically for student groups. We’ll make bus access safe and convenient in a managed set-down area within the PCEC loading dock and with guides to direct students and teachers into Pavilion 6. We'll provide detailed access instructions closer to the event - please note that buses cannot park at the venue.
This event is best suited to Years 9 to 12, so please pass this information on to the appropriate coordinators and to parents or carers.
See you at Careers Expo!*WorldSkills runs for three days from 29 April to 1 May 2021.
A copy of our insurance policies will be available for download closer to the event.
If you are coming to the Expo on Thursday or Friday in a school bus, it will be possible to drop-off and collect students from the rear (south-side) of the PCEC. Detailed access instructions closer to the event - please note that buses cannot park at the venue. Please ensure you pass this information on to the bus company and driver.
If you’re using your school's private bus or hiring a bus for the day, it’s important that you use the loading docks at the rear (south-side) of the PCEC. This is a safe and controllable environment. More details will be available closer to the event.
We encourage you to promote the Careers Expo to students via your in-house newsletters and bulletins. Closer to the event we will provide artwork files that you may download. The pdf files will be able to be printed and displayed as A4 or A5 flyers, or alternatively attached to emails. The jpg versions may be embedded into newsletters.
If you’re using public transport or walking, you may enter the PCEC via the either the Plaza level (opposite the Adina Apartment Hotel) or Level 1 (opposite the Elizabeth Quay Bus Station). The entrance to Careers Expo will be via the Pavilion 6 foyer doors located at the western end of the main foyer.
